Responsible Beverage Server Training reviews best practices and legal requirements for those who sell or serve alcohol in order to prevent youth access to alcohol, prevent overserving, and protect servers from disruptions to their livelihood due to inadvertent violations of laws and regulations. PACE Coalition Services
Naloxone (Narcan)
In response to the rise in opioid-related overdoses, the federal government authorized the expanded distribution of naloxone (brand name Narcan), a drug that can reverse an opioid overdose. PACE Coalition provides free naloxone to businesses, agencies, and other public serving organizations and to individuals. Many people keep naloxone handy in case they come across a possible overdose situation. To learn more, contact PACE.
Car Seats
The law requires that children below a certain age, weight, or height be placed in a properly installed car seat appropriate for their age and characteristics. When our funding allows, PACE Coalition provides free car seats to qualifying parents or guardians. Call (775) 777-3451 or email info@pacecoalition.org for details.
Lock Boxes
Experts say that when kids start experimenting with substance use they most often obtain painkillers and other medications in their own or friends’ homes. To reduce youth access to prescription and other drugs, PACE Coalition provides free lock boxes and locking bags. Call (775) 777-3451 or email info@pacecoalition.org for more information.
Rural Providers Monthly Meeting
On the first Tuesday of every month (unless falling on a holiday) PACE Coalition hosts an online meeting of representatives from nonprofits, agencies, and others that provide services to residents of Northeastern Nevada. Our Rural Providers Meetings are open to the public. To learn more or to request the Zoom link email info@pacecoalition.org.
I.D. Checkers
Underage alcohol consumption poses risks to adolescent development and safety. PACE Coalition’s trained I.D. Checkers are available to check I.D.s during events where alcohol is sold or served protecting event organizers, minors, and other attendees.
