With the Right Tools You Can Take Control of Your Life.

Smart Recovery Open Meetings, Free. New people welcome.

Everyone of us has his or her unique history, motivations, and needs. While those of us struggling with addictive or problematic behaviors may share some similarities, our differences mean that no one recovery path will fit us all.

SMART Recovery’s 4-Point meetings recognize that fact and are structured around the belief that, given the right tools, people can find the path that works for them. Meetings are free, non-judgmental, non-religious and open to anyone, regardless of the addiction or behavior they seek to modify.

SMART Recovery equips participants with practical, evidence-based tools drawn from cognitive behavioral therapy and rational emotive behavior therapy. Tools such as the Cost-Benefit Analysis and the ABC worksheet (a structured exercise that examines the link between Activating events, the Beliefs they trigger, and the behavioral Consequences that follow) help participants identify and counter the thinking patterns that drive addictive behavior. Other exercises, including the Hierarchy of Values and Lifestyle Balance Pie, encourage participants to reflect on personal priorities and build a satisfying, balanced life that supports long-term recovery.

A group of people sit in a circle in an open, airy room, talking with each other.
