Veterans Behavioral Health

  • Elko VA Clinic: VA-operated outpatient clinic providing primary care and mental health services for eligible veterans. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

  • Reno Vet Center: Confidential, non-medical counseling for veterans, service members, and their families at no cost. Services include individual and group counseling for PTSD, depression, military sexual trauma (MST), substance use, and transition to civilian life.   • Make the Connection: A VA-supported resource featuring stories from veterans about mental health challenges and recovery. A peer-driven tool to help veterans recognize what they may be experiencing and find paths forward.
  • Military OneSource: Free, confidential support connecting active duty, Guard, Reserve, and recently separated service members and their families with counseling, referrals, and resources for a wide range of mental health and life challenges.

  • VA Mental Health: The VA’s central resource for veteran mental health care, with information on conditions, treatments, telehealth options, mobile apps, and how to access care — whether or not you are currently enrolled in VA health care.
  • Veteran Training: A free, anonymous VA self-help portal with tools to help veterans manage everyday challenges including problem-solving, anger management, and more. No enrollment or login required.
  • Women Veterans Call Center: VA services, resources, and referrals for women veterans, their families, and caregivers. Available by phone Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–10 p.m. ET; Saturday, 8 a.m.–6:30 p.m. ET.
