The 5th Annual Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP) Awareness Conference returns to Elko for three days of education, community, and advocacy. Free and open to all ages, the conference features keynote speakers including Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford, Lyla June Johnston, Tawny Smith Savage, and Greg Guiza of the BIA/OJS Missing and Murdered Unit, with presentations covering sex trafficking, domestic violence, jurisdictions, law enforcement, survivor stories, and more — plus over 30 vendors. Daily registration begins at 8:00 AM.
