Each August, the Gilbert Ranch off Highway 93 becomes a marvelous place where children and adults with special needs spend a full day fishing, playing games, getting their faces painted, enjoying live music, and simply having fun in a setting reserved just for them.
The Gilbert Ranch Foundation Special Needs Event began in 2014 with a straightforward vision: give participants and their families a day full of memorable experiences at no cost to them. Now in its 12th year, the event has grown into a beloved tradition for families across Elko and White Pine counties, made possible by the Gilbert family and the ongoing sponsorship of VT Construction.
The Gilbert Ranch is located on Long Gulch Road off of U.S. 93 15.9 miles south of the junction of 93 and Alternate 93 in White Pine County. Turn east on Long Gulch Road for approximately 3 miles to the ranch.
Transportation from Elko and Ely is available.
